Upholstery, carpet and mattress last longer and smell fresher if you vacuum them regularly, treat stains at once and deep-clean occasionally. Important: check the material first (care label, water tolerance), then work slightly damp and sparingly and let it dry well, otherwise rings and odours threaten.
